Aliyu Dahiru Mohammed


MD/CEO

Aliyu currently serves as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Tangerine APT Pensions Limited. His tenure in this role was preceded by a brief but impactful period as the Executive Director of Operations and Business Development following the merger of the former APT Pension Funds Managers Limited and Tangerine Pensions Limited. Before the integration, Aliyu held the position of Acting Managing Director/CEO of APT Pension Funds Managers Limited.

Aliyu is a highly respected leader, boasting two decades of comprehensive experience within the Nigerian Pensions Industry, including significant time in top management. His expertise spans pensions operations management, organizational policy and procedure development, corporate governance structures and spearheading organizational change within the PFA.His professional acumen is integrity, innovation, and dedicated work ethics.

Academically, Aliyu holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK. He further specialized with a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Management (with distinction) and a Post Graduate Diploma (Qualifi Level 7) in Accounting and Finance from institutions in the UK. He initially earned a BachelorsDegree in Mathematics (Ed) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Henley Business School at the University of Reading, UK.

Aliyu holds distinguished fellowships, including the Chartered Institute of Pensions Nigeria (CIPN), the Nigeria Chartered Institute of Loans and Risk management, and the American Academy of Financial Management (AAFM). He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Nigeria.

In his personal time, Aliyu enjoys gardening and coffee roasting.

Asiru L. Abayomi


Chief Finance Officer

Asiru L. Abayomi holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Agro Economics from the University of Ibadan. He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Nigerian Institute of Management and Institute for Health Insurance and Managed Care of Nigeria. Abayomi is a seasoned Accountant and Auditor who worked with reputable Audit firms in Nigeria with over 15 years audit experience gained at KPMG Audit (Now Akintola Williams Deloitte & Co) and Muhtari Dangana & Co. He has been involved in the audit of many Banks, Government parastatals (such as NNPC, PHCN etc), Pension Funds Administrators, United Nations Assignments and other private institutions.

Head of Business Development, North

Yahaya joined the Pension industry in 2014 after spending over 2 decades in the Banking sector with the last being Unity Bank Plc where he left as Regional Manager of Abuja Central supervising over 10 branches of the Bank. He has cognate experiences in Private Banking, Corporate Banking, International Banking, and Retail/Corporate Credits with a bias toward syndicated portfolio structuring. He also at various times held the positions of Branch/Regional Manager respectively.

He joined the services of former APT Pensions Ltd in 2014 as Business Development Manager Abuja, where he was assigned the responsibilities of repositioning the department/company for growth. He immediately leveraged his experiences from the Banking sector by putting in place close-knitted relationship management, and service excellence, thereby building stronger customer loyalty and enhancing its portfolio. He last held the position of Head of Business Development of the company before its eventual merger with former Tangerine Pensions Ltd. He now holds the position of Head, Business Development, North for Tangerine APT Pensions.

Yahaya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Usman Danfodio University Sokoto, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration University of Abuja and a Master's in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

Ebenezer Olusegun Igure


Head, Enterprise Risk & Performance Management

Ebenezer Igure is a graduate of Business Administration and Management from the College of Administrative and Business, Studies, Kaduna Polytechnic. He is also an alumnus of the Kaduna Business School, where he obtained an Intermediate Certificate in Credit Risk and Management Analysis. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration. He is also a Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management of Nigeria CILRMN). He is an Associate member of the Risk Managers Society of Nigeria (RIMSON). He is also an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). He has attended several courses and capacity training workshops.

He began his career with Habib Bank Limited, where he worked as a Credit and Marketing officer in the Credit Risk Management Department between March 2002 and 2005.

By 2006, he left Bank PHB to join Oceanic, where he headed the Credit Risk Unit at the Regional Office, Asokoro, Abuja.

In 2015, he joined IEI-Anchor Pension Managers Limited as the Head, Enterprise Risk Management Department, where he oversees the global risk profile of the enterprise, reporting to the Board Risk Management Committee. In addition to his core functions, he was also head of the Procurement Committee and Media and Publicity unit of the company and also a member of the Strategy Committee. He is also involved in the change strategy effort of the company. In 2019, He joined Apt Pension Funds Managers Limited, where he heads the Enterprise Risk and Performance Management department.

Ibrahim B. Abubakar


Head, ICT

Mr. Ibrahim is a graduate of Computer Science from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi. He is a seasoned Information Communication Technology expert who has over 13 years working experience in Banking Sector handling Software Development and Electronic Banking Systems. He has acquired series of trainings and workshops within and outside Nigeria which includes: Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) and Microsoft Certified Professional by Microsoft. Ibrahim is also a member of Computer Professional Council of Nigeria.

Shamsuddeen Rufai Ahmed


Head of Investment

Shamsuddeen is the Head of Investment of APT Pension Funds Managers Ltd, He has many years’ experience in the capital market and financial services, Prior to joining APT Pension he had served as the MD/CEO of Newdevco investment and securities co. ltd. He has also worked with APT securities and funds ltd where he serve at senior management level with responsibility of developing and implementing business development strategies, portfolio management, Equity trading on the floor of the Nigeria stock exchange. He had a stint with Travelex retail Nigeria ltd as team leader. He also worked with Kano state science and technical schools board.

Shamsuddeen holds a Bachelor’s degree and MBA (Finance & Investment) from Bayero University Kano. Holds a Certificate in international investment management from CISI London. He is associate member-chartered institute of stockbrokers (ACS) and Associate member-chartered institute for securities and investment London (ACSI). He is authorized dealing clerk of the Nigeria stock exchange and registered with Securities and Exchange Commission as broker dealer.

Zannah Lawan


Head of Compliance

ZANNAH LAWAN is a graduate of Kaduna State Polytechnic where he obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Statistics in the year 2000. He started his career briefly with Borno State Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning as Statistical Officer. Mr. Lawan later moved to former Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) and served as both compliance officer and later as Benefit Officer in Zaria Branch office between 1997 and 2005.

 Mr. Lawan joined APT Pensions Funds Managers Ltd. in 2009 where he became North West Regional Manager and he is presently the compliance officer of APT Pension Funds Manger Ltd.

Adeniyi Alao


Head, Internal Audit & Control

Adeniyi joined AXA Mansard Pensions Limited as Head, Fund Accounts in March 2018. Adeniyi has over 10 years of work experience across Financial/Management Accounting, Financial Reporting, Customer Relationship, People Management, and Fund Accounting management.

Adeniyi’s previous experience includes but is not limited to working with Imurat International Ltd, Bulletin Construction Company Ltd as Head of Account, before moving to Penman Pensions Ltd as Head of Finance, where he was responsible for maintaining proper books of account for the Company and the funds. He was responsible for cash flow projection, treasury management and the submission of various regulatory reports to the National Pension Commission.

Adeniyi holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and he is a fellow of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Ahmed Baba


Head of Fund Accounts

Ahmed Baba has over 14 years work experience bothering Accounting, Financial Reporting, Tax and Tax Management and Fund Accounting management.

 joined APT Pensions Funds Manager Limited as Senior Pension Officer I in August 2016. He Deputized the Head of Finance and Accounts until the merger before he was deployed to Fund Accounts as Deputy Head. 

Ahmed  previous experience cuts across Office of the Accountant General of Kwara State in the Kwara State Ministry of Finance where he worked in the Treasury Department as a Senior Accountant before moving to Apt Pensions Funds. His responsibilities include Tax management and advisory, deputizing the Head of Department in the smooth running of the Department

Ahmed holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and he is a fellow of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Fellow of the Chartered Institute Taxation of Nigeria

Olutoyosi Adewumi


Head of Operations

Olutoyosi Adewumi started her career with Meristem Registrars Limited in October 2005 as a Front Desk /Operations Officer responsible for customer support until 2010, she joined Oak Pensions Limited as the Head, of Customer Care. As the Head of Customer, she managed over 200,000 clientele while overseeing the customer support team for the Company. In 2012, she was appointed the Ag. Head of Human Resources and Admin for the Company and was responsible for recruitment strategies, planning and management of benefits amongst other things.

In 2016, Olutoyosi Adewumi joined the employment of the defunct AIICO Pension Managers Limited as the Head, Client Services, Registration & Archiving, where she provided leadership for the client service and relationship management amongst other notable operational responsibilities of the PFA. She later moved to FCMB Pensions Limited as the pioneer Head, Client Services Department providing quality and bespoke customer service relationships, coordinating remittance schedule collection and reconciliation. She was also responsible for coordinating funding for positive AUM growth and the design of customer support models for enhanced customer experience.

Olutoyosi holds B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Lagos and M.Sc. in Information Technology, Management and Organizational Change (ITMOC) from the University of Lancaster UK. She also holds Professional Certificate in Projects In Controlled Environments (PRINCE 2).

Usman Aliyu Mohammed


Head, Corporate Services (HR & Admin)

Usman is a Corporate-Commercial Lawyer, licensed by the Supreme Court of Nigeria, and a Chartered Secretary accredited by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN). With over 15 years of experience, Usman has established himself as an expert in Company Secretarial practice, Corporate/Commercial Law, Legislative and Regulatory Compliance, and Corporate Governance within the Finance and Manufacturing sectors.

Throughout his career, Usman has provided invaluable legal guidance and administrative support to Boards and company management. He has played a crucial role in navigating complex Merger and Acquisition procedures, ensuring that governance principles are effectively integrated into business frameworks.

In his professional journey, Usman has held significant roles such as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser at PAN Nigeria Limited, and at APT Pension Funds Managers Ltd. His earlier roles include serving as Head of Documentation and Other Risk assets at Jaiz Bank Plc, a Company Secretariat Officer and Legal Officer at UnityBank Plc, a Counsel at A.Y MUSA & Co., and a Law Lecturer at Ameer Shehu Idris College of Advanced Studies.

Academically, Usman holds an LL.B in Civil Law, a B.L., a Professional Certificate in Computer Application Packages, a PECB ISO 22301 Lead Implementer Certification, and an LL.M in Corporate Governance & Finance Law. He is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Risk Management Association of Nigeria (RIMAN), and ICSAN.

Dayyabu Musa


Head, Benefit Administration

Saratu Anjili Malgwi


Head, Collection Management

Saratu Anjili Malgwi is an accomplished professional with over 18 years of experience in the financial sector. She began her career as a pioneering staff member at the erstwhile APT Pensions Fund Manager, serving as a Senior Executive Assistant. Currently, she is Heading the Collection Management Department

Prior to her current role, Saratu dedicated 14 years to heading Customer Care, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in client engagement and service excellence.

Academically, she is a graduate of Kaduna State Polytechnic (Class of 2001) and further advanced her education by earning a PGD in Business administration from the Abuja University in 2005 and later obtained a Master’s in Business Administration from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, in 2021. A committed professional, she is a certified member of the Certified Customer Service Associate (CCSA) and has participated in numerous internal and external training programs, enhancing her knowledge and industry expertise.

Adewusi Kolawole


Head, Business Development South

Adewusi Kolawole holds an MBA in international business from Nexford University (USA), Mini-MBA from Tekedia institute (USA), HND banking & finance (Lagos State Polytechnic). He previously worked at IMFB microfinance Bank ltd, Mutual Benefits Assurance Ltd before joining Apt pension and funds limited as regional manager in 2011. Currently he is HOD business development (South) with Tangerine Apt pension ltd.

    Aliyu Dahiru Mohammed


    MD/CEO

    Aliyu is the Managing Director/CEO of Tangerine APT Pensions Limited. Prior to the merger between the former Apt Pension Funds Managers Limited and the erstwhile Tangerine Pensions Limited, he was the Acting Managing Director/CEO of Apt Pension Funds Managers Limited. On the merger of the two businesses, he had a brief stint as the Executive Director Operations and Business Development before becoming the Chief Executive Officer of the PFA.

    Aliyu began his employment career in year 2003 with the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC], where he worked for four year as System Analyst and Head of Information Technology Department. He subsequently took appointment with former Apt Pension Funds Managers Limited in 2007 as one of the pioneer staff.

    Aliyu had an extensive of more than 16 years exposure in the Nigeria Pension Industry, majorly in top management positions, during which he acquired a significant level of management and policy practices experience, having been involved in pension operations management, organizational policy formulation and procedures, corporate governance structures and framework, managing change within a PFA and the wider Industry. His commitment, competence, integrity, innovation, hard work, passion and patience earned him a swift rise to the rank of General Manager in 2021.

    He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration [MBA] from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK and a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management with distinction from Stratford College of Business and Management, Shropshire, Telford, UK. Prior to that, he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics [Ed] from the famous Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria – Nigeria. He also earned a Diploma in Mathematics and another Diploma in Software and Web Engineering.

    Aliyu has undergone a number of senior management and executive leadership programmes in Nigeria, United Kingdom and the USA. He is an Alumni of the Prestigious Henley Business School University of Reading, UK, Lord Ashcroft Business School Cambridge UK and London School of Marketing, UK. He is as fellow and associates member of American Academy of Financial Management [AAFM] and Institute of Directors [IoD], Nigeria respectively.

    Aliyu is happily married with lovely children and enjoys gardening and coffee roasting activities as hobby.

    Ada Obiajunwa


    Executive Director, Operations & Business Development

    Ada Obiajunwa is the Executive Director in charge of Business, Operations, & Strategy for Tangerine APT Pensions. She has a rich professional experience that spans approximately two decades in the Financial Sector of the economy. She was the Head of the Business Development Department in the former Tangerine Pensions, where she contributed immensely to the excellent performance of the company in the areas of Sales, Relationship Management, and Marketing. She has also served in various capacities, namely Retail, SME & High-Net-Worth individual banking across Financial Institutions within Nigeria. She became the pioneer Group Head of International Payments across Access Bank and its subsidiaries, where she was responsible for developing and executing the Access Bank business strategy on payments as well as and drive sales of the newly created platform and product across 15 countries. A role she excelled in until she left the institution.

    Ada holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Lagos and Barrister at Law (BL) from the Nigerian Law School. She is a Certified International Payments Systems Professional and is a member of the subcommittee on Micro Pensions of the Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria (PENOP).

    Akinyemi Sadiku


    Executive Director, Finance & Investment

    Mr. Sadiku holds a B.Tech (Hons) in Microbiology from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, and an MBA in E-business from Sheffield University Management School, Sheffield, with a PGD in Business Administration from University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

    Mr. Sadiku is an investment professional with over 26years cognate experience spanning the financial services industry of Nigeria and the UK, where he held leadership and team member roles in reputable Banks, Asset management and financial services institutions, often managing relationships at the executive and Senior management levels.

    He stated his career in 1995 with Lagoon Home Savings & Loans Ltd (now Standard Alliance Mortgage) working in banking operations, Information Technology and Treasury Management & Remittances. He later joined First Atlantic Bank (now part of FCMB Plc) and later to HSBC Bank UK and ESL Securities Ltd (now EDC Securities) respectively.

    In 2009, he joined Custodian & Allied Plc as Head, Investment before moving to AIICO Pension Managers Limited in 2017 as Head, Investment.

    He is the Executive Director in charge of Finance and Investment for Tangerine APT pensions

    Asiru L. Abayomi

    Abayomi has over 15years Pension industry experience; he started as the Chief Compliance Officer in 2007 with former Apt Pension Funds Managers Limited and has moved round the organization to Head the Internal Audit, Risk, Fund Accounts, HR, Admin and Finance Function. Abayomi is currently the Chief Financial officer of Tangerine APT Pensions.

    Taiwo Oladipo Hassan


    Head, Legal (Company Secretary)

    Taiwo Oladipo joined (then AXA Mansard Pensions Limited, and now TangerineAPT Pensions Limited) in April, 2019 as the Head, Compliance department. Prior to his joining AXA Mansard Pensions Limited, Taiwo was the Head, Legal & Regulatory Compliance at Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation. He has over 14 years of experience across legal and financial services sectors.

    Shortly after his Call to the Nigerian Bar and his compulsory National Youth Service, Taiwo went into private legal practice and was under legal tutelage with Messrs. Amuwa Olatunde & Co. and Chief S.O. Agbo & Co. respectively, where he garnered requisite legal training and experience before joining Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation in 2009 as a Legal Officer. His experience also covers company secretarial services, risk management, administration and regulatory compliance. In the course of his career, Taiwo has attended several trainings on Enterprise Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering & Combating Financing of Terrorism (AMLCFT), Data Protection, Security & Privacy, Corporate Governance & Integrity of Financial Statements as well as Environment & Social Management System (ESMS) amongst others.

    He is a graduate of the prestigious University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, where he graduated with Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) in the Second-Class Upper Division. He became an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) in 2018 after successfully qualifying as a Chartered Secretary and Administrator.

    He is a member of the Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists (ACFCS) - Nigerian Chapter.

    Abiola Mosuro


    Head, Corporate Services (HR/Admin)

    Abiola is a graduate of Lagos State University and holds an LL.M degree from the University of Lagos. She is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators (UK & Nigeria).

    She started her career in the financial services sector in 2004 as a legal officer with Wema Securities & Finance Plc (Wemasec), a member of Wema Group.

    She became the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser/ Chief Compliance Officer of Great Nigeria Insurance Plc in February 2010. Her experience covers legal services, human resource management, administration, compliance and risk management.

    She joined AXA Mansard Pensions Limited in 2017 as the Head, Legal & Human Capital and now Head, Corporate Services, Tangerine APT Pensions Limited

    Soji Osunsedo


    Head of Operations

    Soji is currently the Head of Operations at Tangerine APT Pensions Limited. His has over 20+ years of experience in operations management, sales and marketing, procurement and logistics, quality assurance, and customer service management. He joined the organization in 2015 as Regional Head, Business Development for Lagos & southwest Nigeria.

    Prior to joining Tangerine, He was the Group Head of the Priority Clients Teams at AXA Mansard Insurance Plc for 4 years where he engineered and implemented the restructuring of the High Net-worth Clients teams to drive an enhance customer relationship management process.

    Before joining AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, Soji was the Head of Operations at Tanmo Pharmaceuticals Ltd for 7 years where he repositioned the company in 2005 by restructuring its entire system of operation to better cope with the manufacturing and distribution challenges the company was facing at the time.

    Soji had a brief spell working in Guaranty Trust Bank Plc under the Retail Banking Group where he gained experience in sales and client services. He holds a Bsc in Insurance from the University of Lagos and has attended several training programs in Strategy, Management, and Underwriting amongst others.

    Theo Adedoyin


    Head, Benefits Administration

    Theo Adedoyin heads our Benefits Administration Department. He holds a B.Sc. upper class in Actuarial Science from the University of Lagos and is a Student Member-Institute of Actuaries, England. Theo started his Actuary & Consulting career in Hymans Robertson Nigeria Limited (now the actuarial arm of EY Nigeria) in March 2001 and rose to the position of Management Consultant.

    Theo joined ARM Pension Managers in July 2007 shortly before the Regulations for the Administration of Retirement and Terminal Benefits were released by the National Pension Commission (PenCom). He played a pioneering role in the setting up of the Benefits Administration Department in the company. He also made immense contributions and recommendations that impacted policy formulations as it relates to the Company and Benefits Administration Department. He headed the Department until his exit in April 2016. He joined Outright Retirement and Financial Solutions in May 2016 as Principal/Operations Manager. He facilitated several retirements/new beginnings, and pension training for different organizations. He is an accredited Management Trainer from the Centre for Management Development (CMD) Nigeria.

    He joined AXA Mansard Pensions in July 2019 as head of the Risk of Management Department; he played an active role in coordinating the activities of the company’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) in line with the AXA group standards. He later headed the Internal Audit and Control Department in addition to his role in the Risk Management Department for about a year before joining the Benefits Administration Department of TangerineAPT.

    He is currently concluding his MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University Scotland.

    Adeniyi Alao


    Head, Fund Accounts Department

    Adeniyi joined AXA Mansard Pensions Limited as Head, Fund Accounts in March 2018. Adeniyi has over 10 years work experience across Financial/Management Accounting, Financial Reporting, Customer Relationship, People Management, Fund Accounting management.

    Adeniyi’s previous experience include but not limited to working with Imurat International Ltd, Bulletine Construction Company Ltd as Head of Account, before moving to Penman Pensions Ltd as Head Finance, where he was responsible for maintaining proper books of account for the Company and the funds. He was responsible for cash flow projection, treasury management and the submission of various regulatory reports to National Pension Commission.

    Adeniyi holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and he is a fellow of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

    Cindy Ajele


    Head of Business Development, South

    Cindy Ajele is currently the Head of Business Development, South at Tangerine APT Pensions Limited. Prior to joining Tangerine APT Pensions, Cindy was a Relationship Manager in the Private Banking sector of Access Bank plc. She has over 10 years of professional experience managing the commercial and cooperate customers as well as the High-net-worth-Individuals in Africa.

    Cindy graduated from the University of Jos with a degree in Botany( Environmental Toxicology). She is an associate member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria(CIBN). She also holds a certificate in Global Management from INSEAD.

    Yahaya Yakubu


    Head of Business Development, Northr

    Yahaya joined the Pension industry in 2014 after spending over 2 decades in the Banking sector with the last being Unity Bank Plc where he left as Regional Manager Abuja Central supervising over 10 branches of the Bank. He has cognate experiences in Private Banking, Corporate Banking, international Banking, and Retail/Corporate Credits with bias to syndicated portfolio structuring. He also at various times held the positions of Branch/Regional Manager respectively.

    He joined the services of former APT Pensions Ltd in 2014 as Business Development Manager Abuja, where he was assigned the responsibilities of repositioning the department/company for growth. He immediately leveraged on his experiences from the Banking sector by putting in place a close knitted relationship management, service excellence, thereby building stronger customer loyalty and enhancing its portfolio. He last held the position of Head Business Development of the company before its eventual merger with former Tangerine Pensions Ltd. He now holds the position of Head, Business Development, North for Tangerine APT Pensions.

    Yahaya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Usman Danfodio University Sokoto, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration University of Abuja and Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

    He enjoys travelling, playing tennis and watching soccer amongst others.

    He is happily married with kids.

    Ebenezer Olusegun Igure


    Head, Enterprise Risk & Performance Management

    Ebenezer Igure is a graduate of Business Administration and Management from the College of Administrative and Business, Studies, Kaduna Polytechnic. He is also an alumnus of the Kaduna Business School, where he obtained an Intermediate Certificate in Credit Risk and Management Analysis. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration. He is also a Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management of Nigeria CILRMN). He is an Associate member of the Risk Managers Society of Nigeria (RIMSON). He is also an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). He has attended several courses and capacity training workshops.

    He began his career with Habib Bank Limited, where he worked as a Credit and Marketing officer in the Credit Risk Management Department between March 2002 and 2005.

    By 2006, he left Bank PHB to join Oceanic, where he headed the Credit Risk Unit at the Regional Office, Asokoro, Abuja.

    In 2015, he joined IEI-Anchor Pension Managers Limited as the Head, Enterprise Risk Management Department, where he oversees the global risk profile of the enterprise, reporting to the Board Risk Management Committee. In addition to his core functions, he was also head of the Procurement Committee and Media and Publicity unit of the company and also a member of the Strategy Committee. He is also involved in the change strategy effort of the company.

    In 2019, He joined former Apt Pension Funds Managers Limited and he currently heads the Enterprise Risk and Performance Management department for Tangerine APT Pensions.

    Umar Mohammed Gama


    Head, Internal Audit

    Umar Mohammed Gama is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and also an Associate member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). He attended Kaduna Polytechnic and obtained both National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Accountancy. He has over 30 years working experience in core accounting, auditing and financial processes in both private and public sector organisations. He has worked with different organisations and banks namely Steyr Nigeria Ltd. New Nigeria Development Company [NNDC], New Africa Merchant Bank, NAL Merchant Bank, Intercity Bank Plc and Unity Bank where he rose to the level of Head of Reconciliation Department and MBS Merchant Limited before joining APT Pension Funds Managers Limited in November, 2015.

    He attended several training courses and seminars at both local and international levels some of which were Investment Executive Course organized by Peat Marwick Consultants, Computer Systems for Accountants and Auditors organized by University of Strathclyde Business School Glasgow, SWIFT Africa Regional Conference 2000, Windhoek, Namibia and Oracle e-business Suite enterprise organized by Oracle University of Dubai.

    Shamsuddeen Rufai Ahmad


    Head, Investment

    Shamsuddeen is the Head of Investment for Tangerine APT Pensions. He has many years’ experience in the capital market and financial services, Prior to joining former APT Pensions he had served as the MD/CEO of Newdevco investment and securities co. ltd. He has also worked with APT securities and funds ltd where he serve at senior management level with responsibility of developing and implementing business development strategies, portfolio management, Equity trading on the floor of the Nigeria stock exchange. He had a stint with Travelex retail Nigeria ltd as team leader. He also worked with Kano state science and technical schools board.

    Shamsuddeen holds a Bachelor’s degree and MBA (Finance & Investment) from Bayero University Kano. Holds a Certificate in international investment management from CISI London. He is associate member-chartered institute of stockbrokers (ACS) and Associate member-chartered institute for securities and investment London (ACSI). He is authorized dealing clerk of the Nigeria stock exchange and registered with Securities and Exchange Commission as broker dealer.

    Zannah Lawan


    Head, Compliance

    Zannah Lawan is a graduate of Kaduna State Polytechnic where he obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Statistics in the year 2000. He started his career briefly with Borno State Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning as Statistical Officer. Mr. Lawan later moved to former Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) and served as both compliance officer and later as Benefit Officer in Zaria Branch office between 1997 and 2005.

    Ibrahim B. Abubakar


    Head, ICT

    Mr. Ibrahim is a graduate of Computer Science from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi. He is a seasoned Information Communication Technology expert who has over 13 years working experience in Banking Sector handling Software Development and Electronic Banking Systems. He has acquired series of trainings and workshops within and outside Nigeria which includes: Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) and Microsoft Certified Professional by Microsoft. Ibrahim is also a member of Computer Professional Council of Nigeria.
